Meet Edna

Edna Adelusola, a Kansas City native and graduate of Central High School, is a seasoned professional with a dynamic background spanning social work, law enforcement, missionary work, entrepreneurship, and real estate. She currently serves as the Senior Manager of Admissions for a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to students and adults in the greater Kansas City area who are striving for academic excellence.

Edna’s academic achievements include an associate degree in social services and a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Wilberforce University. She is a recent graduate of the Parent Leader Training Institute (PLTI). Her diverse career reflects her dedication to community service and personal growth. In addition to her professional roles, she actively volunteers with Lead to Read and has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has also served on the boards of Bridges to Bridges and the Parkville Chamber of Commerce. She is past President of Weavers of Nigeria, a social organization in Ohio. She currently serves on the Northland Chamber of Commerce Education Committee and the Platte County EDC Workforce Alliance.

A devoted family woman, Edna has been married for over 40 years to Ayo Adelusola, a chaplain at two local hospitals. They have one daughter, an educator in the Kansas City Public Schools district. Edna’s nurturing spirit extends beyond her immediate family; she has hosted exchange students from Ghana and Germany, supporting their educational pursuits in the U.S., and is currently a foster parent, providing care and guidance to children in need.

Edna’s life is defined by her unwavering faith, commitment to community, and passion for service. Her multifaceted experiences continue to inspire and positively impact those around her.
